Rebeca Ruiz

Founder of Talita Cumi CR, born in 1994 in Costa Rica. From its beginnings, programs were developed for boys and girls with the purpose of strengthening their self-esteem through education and training.

During that same period, the founder experienced the loss of her mother—an event that would deeply mark the life of Rebeca Ruiz. Her mother had instilled in her the value of hard work and education as fundamental tools to empower others.

Inspired by this legacy, Rebeca decided to leave a positive impact on people’s lives and, in 1995, she formally established the foundation. Since then, her work has focused on providing educational tools that promote development and empowerment for children, adolescents, youth, adults, and older adults.
